About

About HemNote

HemNote is an independent shopping-guide publication covering fashion, activewear, footwear, and beauty. We help readers decide what to buy, when to buy it, and where to find a legitimate discount — without you having to dig through marketing copy, forum threads, and return-policy fine print yourself.

We are a research-based publication. Every brand guide, comparison, and edit on this site is built from public information: a brand's own product pages and pricing, its published sizing charts, its shipping and returns policies, and the aggregate sentiment we find across large-scale public feedback sources such as Trustpilot, the Better Business Bureau, and shopper discussions on Reddit. We read broadly and report tendencies we can back up with a source. We do not claim to have tried on, tested, or personally worn the products we cover, and we don't publish anything we can't trace back to a public record. Our full process is documented on How We Curate.

HemNote is reader-supported. When you follow certain links on this site and make a purchase, we may earn a commission from the retailer or brand at no additional cost to you. That revenue is what keeps HemNote free to read and lets us keep guides updated. It never determines which brands we cover, how we rank them, or what a guide concludes — our verdicts are written from the research, not from which links convert best, and commission rates never factor into an editorial decision. Full detail is on ourAffiliate Disclosure page.

Every article on HemNote is credited to HemNote Editors. We write and edit collectively rather than under individual bylines, and every piece goes through the same research process before it's published or updated.

If you spot something that looks outdated, wrong, or worth a second look — a price that's changed, a policy that's shifted, a link that's broken — we want to know. Reach us any time at hello@hemnote.com.

Editorial independence

Commissions fund the site. They don't write it.

Affiliate income pays for HemNote's research time and hosting. It has no say in which brands get covered, how a guide ranks its options, or what a verdict says.
